Structural Steelwork
Primary frames, mezzanine floors, support steels, lift shafts and associated structures — lifted, bolted and finished by a team used to live sites and tight programmes.
Installation that respects the programme
Power Comms Structures delivers structural steelwork installation for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. The work covers primary frames, mezzanine floors, support steels, lift shafts and the associated connections that hold a building together. We mobilise a site team that is used to crane-assisted lifts, MEWP access, and the interface with concrete, groundworks and follow-on trades.
Quality is in the connections, the line and level, and the temporary works that make a lift safe. We work to the engineer’s detail — bolted and welded — and we do not leave snags for the next contractor to discover when the frame is already wrapped in cladding.
Live sites, heritage conversions and tight access
A large part of our recent work is installation in constrained environments: heritage conversions, occupied buildings, and phased refurbishment where the crane pad, exclusion zone and delivery slot are all negotiated daily. We plan lifts, manage temporary works interfaces, and keep the principal contractor informed so the rest of the site can keep moving.
Mezzanine installation in live facilities is treated as a sequenced operation, not a weekend favour. Support steels, beams and deck interfaces are coordinated with existing services so we are not cutting through a working building twice.
One accountable steel team
If you need a specialist installer rather than a full design-and-build steel package, that is the role we fill. Send the steel drawings, programme window and site constraints. We will confirm labour, plant, method and the documentation you need for the CDM file.
Structural steelwork is frequently combined with rooftop access, ladders and telecoms steel on the same project. We can resource those packages together so you are not coordinating three subcontractors for what is essentially one site team.
